Equipping the people of God
- As a retired pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Australia, my aim is to continue to equip the people of God to grow in their knowledge and appreciation of the Scriptures. I strive to provide knowledge faithfully to the Bible to anyone who wants to follow Christ.
About me
Reformed Confessional
- The Lord called me to follow Him at the tender age of 13 years old. Not long after that, He called me to full-time ministry. I trained at the University of Pretoria and was ordained in 1981 as minister of Word and Sacrament of the Dutch Reformed Church of South Africa. My family and I migrated to Australia in 1994. I describe my theological position as Confessional Reformed. I, therefore, hold the Scriptures in high regard as God-breathed, infallible, inerrant and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. The Reformed confessions, although they have stood the test of time over centuries, are in no way equal to the Scriptures, and must constantly be tested and judged against the Bible as the Supreme Standard.
